don’t go to church.
Church buildings, pulpits, pews, pastors, and members are over.
If the words and instructions of the New Testament were like a physical fire that burned up anything not contained in them, what we would find is that everything that we have presently known as Christianity today would not exist.
Nowhere in the New Testament are we instructed to fund and construct church buildings. Nowhere are we instructed to give sermons every Sunday. Nowhere do we have one pastor who is the head and authority over a church. Nowhere do we have instructions on titheing. Nowhere are we told to do any of this. Which means we are not supposed to be doing these things.
Institutional churches are not only unscriptural, but they are also presently dangerous. If you carefully read “Church of the End-Time Zombies” by Pamela Sheppard, you will bear witness to much of what she shares in the book, as both shocking but also not surprisingly true.
My making a stance to leave organized religion is a major part of my testimony. It was only four days after leaving the church for good that the Holy Spirit activated my repentance unto salvation in Christ. Yes, I became a born-again Christian sitting on my couch watching the gospel being taught and preached to me on YouTube.
As long as Christians continue to linger and play around and be drunk with the old wine of institutional religion, revivals, conferences, seminars—the format of this unscriptural, dried-up old wineskin system, you will never be able to reach the new wine, or the life of Christ in its purest and simplest expression.
Stop being abused by religion.
The path of the Lord is one of healing, life, freedom, peace, satisfaction, love, light, happiness, joy, and is lived out daily without buildings, without pastors, without pews, without sermons. Start with the cross of Jesus. Begin with the gospel, and God will take care of the rest, He will lead you to the right people, not a church.
“Religion says, ‘Do.’ Jesus Christ says, ‘Done.’ Religion may wound you, but the gospel will heal you.”
The Lord’s church.
The Lord’s church is built without literal bricks, but with living stones, human beings who are being built upon the original foundation of the prophets and apostles, with Christ Himself as Chief Cornerstone. Human beings who have the eternal, new creation life in their spirit. The Lord’s church is a glorious, vibrant, magnetic, victorious, and a beautiful Bride without spot or blemish.
She moves with the flow of the Spirit; she expands where the life takes her. Whenever or wherever a group loses its first love, the Spirit takes the lamp stands and burns them somewhere else with someone else. The Lord’s church is always on the move, and when she is still, it is because she is planting, developing, and soon enough, she will unleash her victory. After all, her flames can’t be contained.
She, the saints together, are the visible expression of the invisible Head who is Christ Jesus. Together, she is the fullness of Christ. Together, as she moves as the body, she walks in the power of the Head. She does not need education, ordination, walls, governments, or individuals. All she needs is her bridegroom, Jesus Christ.
The dream for us, my brethren, is that we return to the simplicity of Christ’s church, where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst. Now, we all can achieve this as the first generation did, through the airways and in homes.
Detox, Reset, and Align
The Lord is doing a new thing with His church, and the start for many of us Christians who have been mixed in with institutional religion is that we need to detox.
You can go anywhere in the world, and you will find this present model of church in remote villages to first-world urban cities. The Lord is desiring that we return to His simplicity, to gathering in homes or nowadays we can assemble on the airways. No more of one person talking, but everyone given a turn to speak. Open discussions, praying in twos, edifying, encouraging, and fellowshiping in holy simplicity and more intimiatley as His body.
